Biomedical Engineer Professional Intern

To achieve this mandate and become the leading health commodities supply chain agency in Rwanda and beyond, RMS is looking for competent biomedical engineer professional interns.

1 To review medical equipment specifications, carry out tendering processes, monitoring suppliers and ensure timely handover of correct equipment.

2 Help prepare the tender documents of the medical equipment, supplies and preparatory works ensuring compliance with RMS procurement standards and policies

3 Participate in the technical evaluation of bids/tenders/proposals received from prospective suppliers

3 Assist in the final acceptance and handover of the commissioned equipment in coordination with the project team and ministry of health

4 Utilize engineering expertise to contribute to the quality improvement process by recommending medical equipment modifications to the project managers

5 Function as the subject matter expert in the field of Biomedical engineering directly supporting specialized clinical technology including service, system administration, training, quality assurance and life cycle management

6 Document feedback regarding operation of all medical equipment and introduce improvements if necessary

7 Maintain database correspondence with vendors and suppliers of RMS’s medical equipment in order to improve future interaction

8 Manage all medical equipment inventory and coordinate with vendors and suppliers in ordering replacements for defective parts

9 Any other duties assigned by Manager

Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical engineering or related field
