Job Purpose

The Project Manager will provide overall strategic, technical, financial, and operational direction for the project.

The successful candidate will lead project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting while ensuring that all activities comply with RGF requirements, Intego Facility procedures, and the priorities of Rulindo District.

The position will work closely with the District Executive Secretary, District Project Coordination Committee, RGF, community representatives, and other relevant stakeholders. The Project Manager will also coordinate project activities, identify and manage risks, ensure proper use of resources, and support the timely and sustainable achievement of project results.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Rural Development with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Project Management with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Rural Development with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environment and Natural Resource Management with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Environment and Natural Resource Management with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Climate Change with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Climate Change with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Biodiversity and Natural Conservation with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Required Competencies and Technical Skills

Candidates should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English and/or French. Knowledge of all three languages is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support team development.
  • Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong confidentiality and information-management skills.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and a strong sense of teamwork.
  • Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
