1. Job Overview
Energy Utility Corporation Limited (EUCL) is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Chemical Officer. The successful candidates will support the safe and efficient operation of chemical and laboratory systems at the peat power plant, with a focus on equipment reliability, maintenance planning, fault investigation, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
2. Key Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be expected to:
- Implement safety procedures during operations and maintenance activities involving high-voltage installations, rotating machinery, high-temperature equipment, and high-pressure pneumatic or hydraulic systems to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
- Apply environmental protection measures to minimize environmental risks and safeguard surrounding ecosystems.
- Develop and review planned maintenance activities for mechanical equipment and related systems, ensuring alignment with the relevant Operations and Maintenance Manual.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of mechanical infrastructure at the peat power plant.
- Investigate equipment faults and failures, identify their root causes, document findings, recommend solutions, develop and implement corrective action plans, monitor their effectiveness, and report results to the Senior Engineer.
3. Required Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications and the corresponding professional experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and industrial or factory laboratories.
A. A1 Qualifications — 3 Years of Experience
- A1 in Biology: 3 years of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 3 years in industrial or factory laboratories.
- A1 in Biotechnology: 3 years of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 3 years in industrial or factory laboratories.
- A1 in Chemistry: 3 years of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 3 years in industrial or factory laboratories.
- A1 in Environmental Science: 3 years of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 3 years in industrial or factory laboratories.
- A1 in Water Technology: 3 years of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 3 years in industrial or factory laboratories.
- A1 in Applied Chemistry: 3 years of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 3 years in industrial or factory laboratories.
B. A0 Qualifications — 1 Year of Experience
- A0 in Biology: 1 year of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 1 year in industrial or factory laboratories.
- A0 in Chemistry: 1 year of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 1 year in industrial or factory laboratories.
- A0 in Applied Chemistry: 1 year of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 1 year in industrial or factory laboratories.
- A0 in Water Technology: 1 year of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 1 year in industrial or factory laboratories.
- A0 in Environmental Science: 1 year of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 1 year in industrial or factory laboratories.
- A0 in Biotechnology: 1 year of experience in chemical laboratories at power plants and 1 year in industrial or factory laboratories.
