Capitalist SL Rwanda is an international trading, supply, and logistics company based in Kigali. The company provides services including air and sea freight, customs clearance, product sourcing, and supply chain coordination.

Capitalist SL Rwanda connects businesses in Rwanda and Central Africa with international markets including China, Dubai, Turkey, India, Egypt, and Malaysia.

About the Position

The Public Relations & Marketing Officer will be responsible for increasing the company’s visibility, attracting potential customers, generating leads, and coordinating marketing and communication activities.

The successful candidate will represent Capitalist SL Rwanda in the market, manage communication platforms, promote company services, and develop strong relationships with customers, media organizations, business partners, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Client Engagement

  • Reach out to potential customers through face-to-face meetings, WhatsApp, telephone calls, and other communication channels to introduce company services.
  • Represent the company at business events, trade exhibitions, networking sessions, and related activities.
  • Implement sales and marketing activities in line with strategies and guidance provided by management.
  • Identify opportunities for attracting new customers and strengthening existing client relationships.

Digital Marketing and Social Media

  • Develop and publish engaging content across the company’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Manage and monitor paid advertising campaigns through social media platforms and Google.
  • Keep the company website and blog updated with relevant service information, prices, announcements, and news.
  • Produce original promotional materials such as videos, photographs, reels, and podcast content.
  • Coordinate with designers in preparing flyers, banners, business cards, and other promotional materials.

Public Relations and Partnerships

  • Coordinate opportunities for the company to appear on radio, television, podcasts, and other media platforms.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with influencers, journalists, brand ambassadors, and media organizations.
  • Coordinate outdoor advertising and company signage in suitable locations across Kigali.
  • Represent the company during exhibitions, business forums, community events, and other public activities.
  • Develop relationships with business partners, trade associations, chambers of commerce, and institutional stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases, company announcements, and promotional messages.

Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Must be based in Kigali, Rwanda.
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda is required.
  • Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • AITA certificate is highly preferred/required as stated in the vacancy.
  • Strong communication, networking, marketing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and actively engage with clients, partners, and the public.
