The Social Affairs Officer is responsible for monitoring and coordinating social development programs at the Cell level to improve citizens’ well-being. The role focuses on education, health, nutrition, child protection, social protection, youth and women’s empowerment, disability inclusion, sports, and talent development.
The officer monitors initiatives aimed at reducing malnutrition and stunting, improving school enrolment and attendance, preventing school dropouts, supporting adult literacy, and strengthening school feeding programs. The position also involves promoting early childhood development, health, hygiene, sanitation, and children’s rights.
Additional responsibilities include mobilizing communities to participate in social development activities, identifying eligible beneficiaries for social protection programs, collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and supporting the implementation of District development plans related to social and human capital development.
